Another humbling lesson not provided from the course content I am learning. When learning, especially when learning with a daily commitment over a period of time, it is critical to protect that time or plan for some variance.

A DIY project for a family member resulted in a broken streak and 3 lost days of learning / coding. Overall, 3 days is a minute delay given the amount of time it has taken me to get this far in the learning process. However, it also demonstrated how easily progress can be derailed. This was a pain point for me as I thought about the obligation and wanted to get the daily quota in, but by the time I got home, my level of fatigue left me with no attention span. I tried watching the videos, but could not retain the information.

Tonight, we reset the counter to zero. I logged three videos covering a summary of the first portion of the book as well as two videos taking a deeper examination at for loops. My tenacity is being rewarded as the content is becoming more applicable and I feel more confident about the foundation of my learning. I am looking forward to the projects portion of the book and really applying my learnings.

One day win streak!
